Supporting local businesses and farmers and ensuring a growing economy

Murdo has always been a champion for small and local businesses as well as rural businesses. For too long this SNP government has brutally ignored the private sector; not passing on rates relief as Westminster have done; calling those on £30,000 salaries and above, 'people with the broadest shoulders'; and now the UK Labour government are hitting businesses with the increase in National Insurance Contributions and farmers with their family farm tax. Have a read of Murdo's alternative, that reaffirms that you should keep more of what you earn.

My Plan

  • Supporting local businesses and farmers and ensuring a growing economy
  • Keeping Scotland in the United Kingdom
  • Guaranteeing strong transport links for the people of Mid Scotland and Fife
  • A just transition to Net Zero which acknowledges the impact of climate change and policy changes on ordinary people
  • Superfast broadband for all across Mid Scotland and Fife
